Almost every woman in America wears some form of makeup everyday. We use it to express ourselves, feel confident and put together, and simply because we enjoy it. But if your makeup application isn’t as easy as it was years ago, chances are aging skin has something to do with it.
As we get older, wrinkles, creases, and dullness can all factor into how our makeup looks when we apply it. That’s why we decided to give you three easy tips to ensure your skin looks healthy and smooth so you can get that flawless, airbrushed look when you apply your makeup.
A Smooth Complexion
We use makeup to put our best face forward, but if makeup is looking mismatched, cakey or dry then applying foundation and blush can be a nightmare. If you feel like you’re makeup isn’t blending but instead sits on the top of your face, you’ll need a little bit of help smoothing out your complexion.
For makeup that absorbs, glides on skin, and provides full coverage, you’ll need to pay special attention to your moisturizing habits. Ingredients like coconut oil, shea butter and argan work to condition skin back to a softer and more supple feeling. This will make applying liquid or powders to your face much easier and accentuate wrinkles far less, which is why we included them in our Repair & Release Cream formulation.
Concealed Dark Circles
One of the most popular and widely used makeup is for concealer for dark undereye circles. Many times, eye makeup application can be difficult to blend and that’s likely because you are experiencing dryness around your eyes. If your undereye area is dry, you’ll be seeing creasing and caking when you apply your concealer.
This is because the dehydrated skin is accentuating your wrinkles, causing your makeup to look awful. For a quick and easy fix, apply your Eye Lift Serum about 10 minutes before your makeup. This will give it time to absorb, working to lighten dark circles and reduce puffiness, while also hydrating skin for a smooth application.
Find The Right Formula
Some products have very specific ingredients that can cause allergy or irritations to your skin. When it comes to skincare, skip anything that comes from Korea or China because you don’t’ really know what’s in it or how those products were tested. The testing methods in other countries (think animal testing!) can’t always be trusted and sadly, many companies are not transparent about what happens behind closed doors.
Instead, opt for skincare that is made in the USA so you can be confident that it’s safe and effective with homegrown ingredients. This will ensure you’re using quality products that were made with integrity and have trustworthy ingredients. Plus, we never test on animals!
