Skin mapping is an ancient practice used for centuries in Chinese medicine. It’s the practice of examining the face to read factors from the inside of the body that are contributing to what you see on the outside of your body.
Skin mapping can help helpful for all, but especially helpful if you ever suffer from breakouts or clogged pores. Face mapping has been proven to get to the bottom of where your skin issues are coming from and help you solve them.
Below are three areas of your face you need to make sure you’re analyzing that can help you discover exactly what your skin and body really need for a healthy glow!
The T-Zone
The T-Zone consists of two areas of your face, your forehead and the area between your eyebrows, all down your nose. Using the technique of face mapping, the two different areas can reveal two different things about what your skin and body need.
If you experience breakouts on your forehead, face mapping concludes that could mean you’re under a lot of stress or staying up way too late. Instead of staying up late, try listening to some relaxing music and reading a book to help you fall asleep earlier and get a solid 8 hours of sleep.
If your breakouts happen to be between the eyebrows and on the nose, this could indicate there is an imbalance in your liver, kidneys or spleen. You’ll want to watch your diet and make sure you’re taking a multivitamin and getting lots of nutritious foods and drinks into your body to help resolve the issue.
The Cheeks
When your cheeks are experiencing breakouts, it’s your body letting you know something about your lifestyle isn’t doing what it needs to support healthy skin. If breakouts are on the outer parts of your cheek, it can be because of factors like smoking or drinking.
Those types of breakouts indicate an imbalance in the liver and lungs and are a warning sign to your body that you need to make some simple lifestyle changes. Avoiding things like greasy and spicy foods, getting more exercise and drinking lots of H2O is sure to clear up these breakouts in no time!
The Chin
Breakouts on your chin can happen just below the mouth or even occur closer to your jawline. What face mapping tells us about this area is that skin issues that arise here are related to your digestive system and colon. These digestive issues show up as clogged pores and the chin is one of the most common places people experience breakouts.
The easiest and fastest way to clear and avoid further disruption to your skin in the chin area is to make sure you increase your intake of fruits and veggies. Because they have high amounts of fiber, it will help optimize the performance of your large intestine, colon, and stomach to digest food better and keep skin young and clear!
